WHO WE ARE AND WHAT IS OUR MISSION?

The Bayshore Education Center (BEC) is a 501 © 3 non- profit organization founded in 2004 by Jean R. Paul. Mr. Paul has been serving the community for over twenty-five years as the Senior Pastor of The Naples New Haitian Church of the Nazarene and working for Collier County School Board for nearly two decades.
Mission:

The mission of the Bayshore Education Center (BEC) is to provide quality educational and out of school programs for low-income and ELL (English Language Learners) families to prepare them for success in all aspects of life.

About us:

BEC was created from a vision that realized a need to provide, “out of school,” programs and additional educational assistance to low-income families predominantly in the East Naples and surrounding area. We offer programs benefiting the community at little to no fees to the families, courtesy of the benevolent heart of our community.
In 2013, BEC served 500+ children from low-income families in East Naples and Golden Gate communities. During school breaks, BEC’s tutoring program not only promoted student cognitive acuity and concept retention, but reduced behavior issues when students were out of school. Furthermore, BEC provided mentoring/tutoring during school sessions, career development, kindergarten readiness, and summer reading programs for children, K-12. In addition, BEC also provide community educational workshops & seminars, GED classes, English as a second Language (ELL) classes, and community outreach sports camps.
